VIsa on arrival

I am arriving on Oct. 11 and am curious about getting a visitor's visa on arrival. Are they routinely granted? Is there any risk I wouldn't get one? How time consuming a process is it?

I could have my travel agent go to Ottawa and get one for me, but for $$$. I didn't know that the Montreal Consulate didn't issue them here.

If you are a Canadian passport holder then you can obtain one on arrival very simply.Have 45 € or 60 US Dollars inside your passport ready when you enter the arrivals hall and go to the visa desk(clearly marked)hand it over and they will put a sticker in it(thats the visa),then go to passport control where it will be stamped in.Simple as that and only takes a few minutes-of course it will depend on how many planes arrrive at once but never longer than 30 minutes usually.

If you aren't a criminal on the run or smuggling in something you shouldn't be then there is no reason to refuse you-do you think you could be an'undesirable'?☺Nah.....

Thanks, I don't think I"m undesirable <g>. It's the passport and not the country of residence that governs the fee, correct? I am an American resident in Canada. I thought I saw that the fee for a US passport is less than a Canadian one.

Ah okay,so if you are travelling on an American passport then yes,it's cheaper just 20 USD,a bargain ☺and the same routine money in passport etc.

I would say I'm sure you are very desirable but that would sure to be misconstrued LOL!
