I normally stay in Stone House Manila but being adventurous I decided to stay in their other branch Stone House Quezon City. So I could explore the other places aside from Intramuros and Baywalk.

I never realize that this City has a lot of things to offer they have so many spa to go to. The Morato area which is more of the rstaurant area has a varied restaurant to offer from Spanish like CASA ARMAS, Japanese like KIMONOKEN, Chinese Restaurant (there so many to name) and other coffee shops aside from Starbucks. They also have a great night life here from night clubs to discos not to forget the music bar in Stone House Quezon City (great jazz bar!!!!!).

For day time travellers I would recommend Wild Life and University of the Philippines (the best school in the Philippines). They also have good shopping area near in Quezon City especially Gateway Mall.

By the way I would sincerely recommend Stone House for the wonderful service they offered (from the front dest to the chamber maids). They might not have all the facilities that five star could offer but the service is like a 5 STAR HOTEL. I really felt at home.

hi sumo,

we sincerely thank you for your interest in the phils. and yah, quezon city is always underrated as most travellers can only associate manila w/ Makati, Ermita & Ortigas. allow me to add a few more attractions in the city aside from those mentioned.

LaMesa Dam Ecopark- good for jogging & picnic

Ateneo de Manila University grounds- has the best architecturally designed sch bldgs and facilities.

Araneta Center- this is actually the country's biggest shopping complex, bigger than Ayala Centre.

QC Memorial- the former president's tomb is at the base of the monument-museum.

ABSCBN compound- one of SEA's largest media company. you can visit the studios if you care to watch our stars while taping their shows...

Just returned a few weeks ago from the Philippines. We stayed at the Stonehouse in Quezon City based a great deal on the reviews we read at Trip Advisor.

We stayed in the Presidential Suite, which was nice, but the hotel's web site is a bit misleading. The kitchen, sala, and dining room are shared with two other suites. In our case, things worked out okay because our relatives reserved and stayed in the executive suite, and the people staying in the junior suite were gone most of the time. But, I would have been very unhappy if I had checked in only to find that other guests were monopolizing the space we expected to occupy.

The rooms were clean, and comfy. Front desk staff were friendly, and the manager went out of his way to arrange for us to see Sharon Cuneta at the ABS/CBN filming of her variety show.

Don't miss Sitti if she's performing in the tavern; she's AWESOME!

The chamber maid for the 3-Suite area was not accustomed to the western lifestyle, in that when we requested hand soap to use in the rest room (CR) she directed us to use the liquid soap in the shower. So, we simply purchased bar soap to use at the sinks.

Overall it was a pleasant experience for the price. I'm not certain whether I would do it again - I might just prefer that 5-star touch next time.
