Holiday Inn in Manila

Hi there

We're flying into Manilla from Hong Kong on 8th December and want to spend one night in Manila before getting a bus up to the Baguio/Banaue area. We like the look of the Holiday Inn but it seems a little way out. We really only want a quick look round Manila and book our bus tickets, we're not too bothered about nightlife. Just not sure if it would be easier to be more central?

Any opinions would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Carla

Do you know from which bus station you will be boarding to get to Baguio/Banaue? This would help me suggest nearby places for you to stay where you'll still be able to easily explore the city.

We were looking at getting the Victory Liner up from Rizal Ave Extension (hope that's right) or the Philippine Rabbit bus.

Thanks

If you are going up to Baguio, there are hourly trips from the Victory Liner terminal in Cubao which is on EDSA, same thoroughfare as the Holiday Inn Galleria Suites (about 15-20 minutes northwards) -- you don't need to go all the way to Rizal Ave. which is out of the way, a bit difficult to get to and not too safe. Schedule and routes are on www.victoryliner.com.

Holiday Inn would be convenient as it is connected to a mall (Robinson's Galleria) which has a supermarket, cinemas and dozens of shops and restaurants in case you need things for your trip or just want to shop or chill out.
