hi can anyone tell me if the federal hotel is any good.we are thinking of 6 days in KL and the hotel looks in a good location for shopping and food.we dont want a up market hotel,just clean and good location,dont plan to be in the room much,to much to see and do.thanks jenny

Stayed there in July, and already booked to go back in March.

Only thing we did not like was the pool, freezing cold, chairs had no matresses. Breakfast was okay, shopping all within walking distance, 200 metres. all kinds of malls very cheap, found shops are cheaper than Bangkok.

hotel has non smoking floors, which I found great as I get asthma.

hi hervey,thanks for that.havent been before.thinking of doing KL 6 days and penang 4 days.carnt wait for the shopping.been to phuket for the last 2 years,trying somewhere different.jenny
