I will be in and around Kansai from the 28th of september till the 7 of october and was wondering if anyone knew of any celebrations/festivals happenning over this period? Food,music, etc.

There's a monthly magazine called *Kansai Time Out* that's excellent. Their website is http://www.japanfile.com/modules/news/

Click on "Calendar & Events" for information on festivals in the area.
