I used c-trip to book a stay there. It is in a good location being quite close/central to the mall.

Credit card at the hotel. I have not yet booked a hotel and pre-payed c-trip direct. Sometimes I will pay cash, depends how much I have on me and the size of the bill.

can't guarantee that about securing as I have always turned up and usually extended. However I have always paid at the end. That question had never occurred to me.

PS in my experience you get a wider variety of hotels on the chinese language site than the english site.
