Two days, one night - is this okay?

I only have short time in Xi'an and wanted some advice on the following itinerary:

Day 1:

- 11:50am - Arrive Xi'an airport 11:50 am.

- 2:00pm - arrive in Xi'an city by taxi from airport, check in and head out to see the city sights.

- 2pm to 5pm - explore city, mainly muslim quarter - anything else?

- Evening - dinner in Xi'an

Overnight in Xi'an

Day 2

9am to 4 pm - visit terracotta warriors, spend day there.

5pm - arrive back in Xi'an - for evening meal

7pm - depart on overnight train to PingYao.

Does that itinerary work or am I missing something spectacular in Xi'an!

Thanks

I'm not sure about 'spectacular' but you've only mentioned two things to see so you're obviously missing a lot. Have you looked at Things To Do? Plenty of ideas there. Drum and Bell Towers, Small and Large Goose Pagodas, City Walls, Shaanxi Provincial Museum... Why would you want to spend all day at the Terracotta Warriors? I think you'll have seen it all within a couple of hours.

I think the City Wall, Big Wild Goose Pagoda may be worth a stop, right? Add them basically. The plan will be:

Day 1. Let your taxi drive via BWG before taking you to the hotel. You may not stop, just have a over view in car. The great construction is a must of Xian. Getting out of hotel, visit City Wall, then great mosque which is a hidden gem, then spend whole evening to the lanes of Moslim Quarter. There is a Music Fountain show on North Square of BWGP in evening-early night. You may probably take a look.

Day 2. TWs. or over look the BWGP in this day to save time for 1st day. Since you know Xian is a jam city.

Hello :

Maybe you can also do like this:

Day 1, airport pick up , Han yang tomb ( 15 minutes ride from the airport, stay one hour over their for two parts museum, the emperor's tomb, exhibation hall of the height lights artfacts), 45 minutes rid back the hotel afterwards, checking in your hotel room , short break, stroll to the Musim quarter, bell and drum tower square, have dinner, then take taxi to the big wild goose pagoda, to enjoy the water fountain show ( 9:00p.m start last 25 minutes), back the hotel again when the tour ends.

Day 2 8:30a.m start taxi to the city wall, bike on it if the weather is fine, public bus to the terra-coat warriors museum(2.5 hours inside ), local restaurant to have lunch near by, back to the city, visit the shannxi history musrum( 2 hours inside), back to the city downtown again, have dinner, check out, take taxi to the train station.

Hope this can give some infromation different.

Enjoy you sty in
