i am planning to stay 2 days in Xian too.

below is wat i will like to do.

Day 1

Big/Small Goose Pagoda (is small goose pagoda worth a visit?)

Xian History Museum (or Provincial museum, which museum is better?)

Silk Road Monument?

City Wall and rent bicycle for cycling on it

Day 2

Terracotta Warriors

Muslim Quarter and Great Mosque

Bell Tower

Drum Tower

will this be fine, or will it be too rush?

anything other important sights that i miss out?

I am also staying for 2 days in October. My proposed itinerary is as follows:

Day 1:

Arrive by overnight train at 9:00am

Taxi to hotel (Grand Mercure)

Bus to Terracotta Warriors

Lunch

Big Goose Pagoda

Dinner in Muslim Quarter or Tang Dyansty Show

Day 2:

Bell and Drum Towers

Bike around City Walls

Explore Muslim Quarter

Grand Mosque

Dinner (Any resturant suggestions?)

Depart on overnight train at 10:00pm

Is this doable for my mother and I? Or should we hire a guide to make it a smoother trip?
