Li river boat trip and how to return

Hello,

going to guilin and yangshou and need advice:

1. boat trip, what to chose and which direction? guilin to yangshou or reverse? What boats? what price? Do you need to get off and visit places along the way (not shopping!!!! can't stand that)

2. how to return or quickest, nearist airport or bullet train to get to Shanghai?

We do not like guided tours. We are not back packers.

Many thanks

My advice would be to go straight from the Guilin airport to Yangshuo. Once in Yangshuo go to the Yulong river for a ride on the bamboo rafts. Have the hotel send a taxi pick you up at the airport.

Also, no bullet train. You'd better fly.

1 Only downstreams available with big boat which brings you to West Street. Price is about 280 RMB pp. None stop on the way. You are free on arrival. From Yangshuo to airport your only option is to hire a taxi. Price about 250-300 RMB.

Depending on your schedule, a much cheaper way to get back to Guilin is to take the a/c deluxe (almost nonstop) bus from the downtown bus station in Yangshuo to Guilin and then taking a taxi from downtown Guilin to the airport.

See more information about Yangshuo at www.yangers.com
