 Hotels booking system

Hello. My friend and I are going to St. Petersburg in 2 months. Could you, please recommend any reliable online booking system for hotels? I've heard that there are cosy and affordable mini hotels in Russia, but don't know the source where the choice will be the best.

Appreciate your advances!

i booked a mini - hotel a month ago.

most of them are on booking.com and venere (big global sites you can trust).

some choices are : ACME, Herzen ,PIO

some of those hotels have sites of their own too.

you can reserve there at a nice discount price but you will have to fax\email them your credit card number

(this make me uneasy personally so i didn't)

best way to find a minihotel :

go to this site - saint-petersburg-hotels.com/small-hotels.htm

pick a hotel you fancy and then find it by name on booking.com

good luck !

We stayed at Hotel Vesta when we were in St Petersburg and it was fine.

Here is a link to their website:

I did the booking and payment via internet and they were very prompt in responding to emails. There were no problems at all.

You are absolutely free to use Venere, Booking.com or any stuff like that. St. Petersburg hotels are included in international booking systems.

I think the best way - to book your room directly on the hotel web site. Usually hotels provide discounts or some bonuses for the guests reserved room without middleman.

Use search engine to find official hotel web site - for example make a request "small hotel st. petersburg" in Google and you'll get a reach selection of the hotels and links to the official sites.

Don’t miss a ‘special offers’ page!

I am not sure it is worth doing so, as previously you have to find propper hotel. Som ehotel sites are in Russian only!!! and aren't up to date.

And booking systems frequently offer you to book rooms at prices LOWER than hotel special offers. I use booking.com, in fact other systems as Expedia, venere or easytobook aren't worse
