There are lots of places to eat in the center of Moscow. I would suggest checking business lunch menu at Goodman http://en.goodman.ru/

If you walk from the hotel, down Lesnaya street, toward the Beloruskaya Metro (or you can take the Metro from the Novoslobodskaya Station near the Novotel to Beloruskaya) there is a nice beerhouse called Vremya Est! (Время Есть!). They have reasonable prices and good beer. Also, on Lesnaya, but much closer to the hotel is Botik Petra, which serves seafood. More expensive, but very good food. There is also a TGIFriday's near the Novotel, along with McDonalds and a Mexican place, the name of which I forget. Of all those listed in this post and the others above, I would say that the Mi Piace on Chayanova Street (Чаяанова) is the best option for good food, reasonable prices and close proximity to the Novotel.
