weather in may hakuraa

hello everyone, we have booked to go to hakuraa on may 12 next year and cannot wait can anyone tell us waht the weather will belike and what is the best water bungalow to get lots of sun unless it rains every day

it sems that the end one(170 i think) seems to be good as you get only one neibour and glass panels on two side which seem very nice

many thanks

We stayed in room 170 on Hakuraa in May a few years back. We were advised on TA that 170 was the room to go for (for the reasons you state) and we were very pleased with it. Because it is the end one it is furthest away from the facilities but we enjoyed the walk along the jetties spotting the marine life.

Regarding the weather......as I'm sure you know May is the start of the rainy season so you are more likely to see some rain than if you went in Feb. That being said, when we were there we saw some rain mainly at night and the odd shower during the day. Of course you could be lucky and have no rain at all or the opposite and be rained on for a week but from our trips in May it has so far been as described above.

Well we went May 2007 & had room 101 which is the Water bungalow at the end nearest the bar. We loved it, but funnily enough made friends with & still are in touch with the couple who were in the water bungalow at the opposite end. They loved their room as well (ended up being a standing joke - who has most dolphins leaping over their room at night...! but they did have a hell of a walk to & from the bar / restaurant etc, which we of course didn't.
