I just come back from Helengeli .... a true paradise!!

Snorkelling is very good: thanks to strong current you can see thousands of beautiful fishes, many sharks and turtles!!

The strong current is not a problem if you can swim. Not necessary to be a very-good swimmer.

If you can't swim snorkelling is not possible because at the diving center they don't rent life-jackets.

Food also is very good with local dishes and some internationale courses like pasta.

The prices of beverages are honest.

Bye bye

We were at Helengeli a few years ago & the reef then wasn't the most colourful but having said that it was one of the most interesting house reefs we have ever been to. The fish where amazing & very large in some cases (don't be alarmed they are fantastic & come in for a look but thats it) & dolphins every morning swam by. As for the current don't worry about it. Helengeli is very long & all you have to do is figure out which way the current is going, drift down the island with it & get out when you've had enough.

If you want to have a look theres a video mainly shot just snorkelling at Helengeli. http://www.anim8clients.com/helengeli.html

The manta's were a boat trip from Helengeli & well worth it although no guarantees.
