Info: The Best Short Sightseeing Tour in Putrajaya

The "Best of Putrajaya Tour" is a new initiative of the Putrajaya local government.

Pay 1 RM and you can embark in a 2-hour English-guided sightseeing tour around Putrajaya where you'll be shown its landmarks, interest points, and be told its tales, facts, etc. There will be photostops and half an hour rest to taste the local foods.

Schedule: Sat and Sun (weekends only), every 11 am AND 3 pm

Fee: 1 RM (ONE Malaysian ringgit, that's 30 cent in USD!) per person, paid on bus

Booking: Easiest way is to sign up on-the-spot, at Putrajaya Sentral station until 30 minutes before departure. Look for the "Best of Putrajaya Tour" booth and sign yourself up. There is a quota of 40 people per session (it is the max seating capacity of the tour bus).

How to get there: Easiest way is by KLIA transit train from the KL Sentral station. You'll reach Putrajaya in around 20 minutes.

I experienced it today and it was awesome, I mean, what can you get nowadays with 1 RM? FYI, in Putrajaya hourly taxi rental will cost you 30 RM/hr.

We had photostops at the: PICC (Putrajaya International Convention Center) for hill view of Putrajaya, Putrajaya Mosque (the pink one), Prime Minister office, two bridges of Putrajaya for lake view of Putrajaya (can't remember their names), and boulevard with Supreme Court at one side and the Iron Mosque at the other side.

Saw: Ministry of Finance/Treasury building, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Women Liberation, Ministry of Trade and Cooperative, and tonnes of other ministry buildings. Also saw school complex, housing complex in various precincts (think it was 9,10, 11).

Apparently there's an article about it and someone scanned a brochure, but nothing else! (Really think this tour should be included in Tripadvisor's Things To Do in Putrajaya)

And yes, you're welcome.

I love this place. the mosque was amazing. Very humid/hot thus a bottle of water was so handy.

@POENJAGW: I have no idea. But if you're already in Malaysia, you can try calling the number listed in their brochure to make sure: 019-236-1796 or 019-347-8012.
