You can access Gurney Dr from the G, but none of the iconic sights. You can cross the road into much of the Arab Quarter, and Little India from Traders Hotel.

So I would vote for staying at Traders if you want access to historical Georgetown, and the day and night life of old Georgetown.

Hi there

We stayed at Traders and found it well located in terms of access to all of the highlights of Georgetown. It is across the road from the bus terminal. It has a taxi rank outside and the concierge can organize a Trishaw, which was our choice of travel. Trishaws can get into and out of small streets and lanes. The drivers are on the whole well informed guides. The relationship with Trishaw drivers is more immediate than with taxi drivers and we enjoyed this. Guerney Road is nearby to Traders, but then everything in Georgetown is nearby. We liked our Executive Suite at Traders, but a tip: dont have breakfast in the Executive Lounge, go down to the main dining room. Reason: full range of choices; more space.
