Tunda Tours & Safaris

We are a typical English couple, who have just had two wonderful weeks in kenya.

Being in our late forties, when away we will usually follow the safe pattern of booking any excursions through the site agents, but this time as we met Jenny & Charlie, a young honeymoon couple on our arrival, we were persuaded to try a local company they had found on Trip Advicer, THIS IS HOW WE MET ABDUL!!!!!!

From the first meeting, Abdul treated us like royalty, nothing was too much trouble.

He ensured that we had the best time possible and was constantly in contact to ensure that any problem that arose was perfectly resolved with very little fuss.

His tours give you the best accomodation at the most affordable prices available.

We would advise anyone going to the Milindi area to give Abdul a call araxman17@yahoo.com

What ever your age, take a chance on using a local tour organiser if you want the wonderful experience that Abdul created for us

We have just returned from Turtle Bay our 2nd Holiday there 2 years running. Last April 2009 we booked a Safari before we left the UK and Abdul arranged everything from the Flights, Lodge and Park Fees etc all included in our price, we had an amazing time so the 2nd week of our Holiday we booked Tsavo East and West with Abdul and once again he didnt let us down and we had an amazing time.

Upon arriving home we rebooked to go in September 2010 and again conntacted Abdul and he arranged for us to stay at Royal Mara we had the best time of our lives, so once again we asked Abdul to sort out a 3 day 2 night stay at Tsavo East.

The morning of the pick up we were extremely pleased to see we had the same driver as the previous year so we were happy as he was very good in April 2009. About half an hour into the journey we got a puncture and had to change Jeeps....not a problem.....it made our journey a bit longer as we had to wait for the other Jeep. When we eventually arrived at Manyatta Camp we were really pleased as it was the same Camp we stayed at for one night last year. Anyway to cut along story short, the Driver seemed to be speaking to the 2 Italian Guest that had been put on our Safari, but they kept speaking in Italian all the time, me and my Husband and our friends seemed to be left out of all the chats as we dont speak Italian and as the time got on we were only doing and seeing all that the Italians wanted and if we asked to see something the Italian guy threw a strop and started swearing and shouting at the Driver.

The next day we were being collected at 7am for our Game Drive and Breakfast was served at 6.55am (even though we were seated at 6.30am waiting) and this Italian guy marched into the Restaurant pointing at his watch.

Another incident the 2 Italians started rowing while on a Game Drive and it ended with the Woman screaming to get off....The Driver told her she wasnt allowed to get off it was to dangerious, so she tryed saying she needed the Loo so we had to cut short our Game Drive to get to the nearest Lodge for her to use the Loo.....By the way this Italian couple were mid 20's.....

If anyone was that desperate for the Loo they would run to the Toliet not walk at a slow pace......While she went to the Toliet her boyfriend asked if we could all stop at the Lodge for Beers.....We didnt as we had to be off the Park by 6pm and of course we wanted to see Animals not bottles of Beer...!!!

If i could turn back the clock id have let her get off the Jeep....lol

The morning we left early to do a Game Drive on our way back to our Coast Hotel and the Italians decided to tell the Driver that they wanted to go to Mombassa before heading to the Hotel, and had the cheek to say that us English didnt mind.....we weren't even asked and in any case if we were we wouldnt have agreed.

So once again we had to listen to the swearing and shouting because the spoilt Italian couldnt have his own way.

Once again the Jeep broke down and we had an 8 and a half hour ride back to our Hotel. Bet you can guess who wasnt best pleased.....

We feel that Abdul's Driver showed no respect for the Jeep, and also to the Guests ( English Guests) and Animals. On every occasion we had to view animals he sat reving his engine. Also when we were trying to take Photos the Italian couple kept telling him to Drive on.

Each of us paid good money to do the Safari and we feel it was a waste of 3 days and a waste of money.

Abdul knows how we feel and has said he will make it up to us....so time will tell. We have rebooked to go back next year already so lets hope Abdul sticks to his word.

We DO NOT blame Abdul for any of this as he did all he could to make sure we were ok before we travelled. Also each Safari we have been on Abdul has always rang the Driver then spoke to me to make sure all's well. This occasion i did say its odd he hadnt rung me...it turns out the Driver kept his Mobile switched off for 3 days.....I wonder why....

Anyway I would still recommend Abdul of Tunda Tours so if you are thinking of booking with him please do.......

Hi, am looking to book to Kenya, Turtle Bay Beach Club in August of 2011 and was wondering how much you paid for your safari to Masai Mara please? Sorry your experience was so shoddy this time, but have taken on board your comments regarding Abdul not being the one at fault - at least it's tips for the rest of us, to ensure the mobile is switched on and not to travel with other nationalities!

Many thanks

Hi Carole

It's a must to make sure the Driver has his mobile on in future. Prices varies as to which Lodge you stay at and when your planning on going.

I shall send you a message.

At the time it wasnt an option but it may be something we shall consider next time, but to be honest we didnt expect this kind of behaviour from 2 people... it was unforgivable....!!!
