We are a typical English couple, who have just had two wonderful weeks in kenya.

Being in our late forties, when away we will usually follow the safe pattern of booking any excursions through the site agents, but this time as we met Jenny & Charlie, a young honeymoon couple on our arrival, we were persuaded to try a local company they had found on Trip Advicer, THIS IS HOW WE MET ABDUL!!!!!!

From the first meeting, Abdul treated us like royalty, nothing was too much trouble.

He ensured that we had the best time possible and was constantly in contact to ensure that any problem that arose was perfectly resolved with very little fuss.

His tours give you the best accomodation at the most affordable prices available.

We would advise anyone going to the Milindi area to give Abdul a call araxman17@yahoo.com

What ever your age, take a chance on using a local tour organiser if you want the wonderful experience that Abdul created for us

THANKS ABDUL..

Hi everyone, we were also glad to have read about Abdul from Tunda tours and safaris on trip advisor. We went to kenya as group of 19 people and we were so happy and satisfied with his service, he always had the energy to organise everything from safaris to boat trips. We felt so safe and excited to be around him. I would advise anyone to get in contact with Abdul himself, he rocks keep it up :-):-). Can't wait to go back to the kenyan paradise.:-):)

You absolutely cannot go to Malindi/WATAMU without organising your trips and safaris through Abdul, you will get so much more than just the trip. He is truely a wonderful man who bends over backwards for his friends. We have just returned from Turtle Bay Beach Club, Watamu and I contacted Abdul a few months before our arrival because of all the priase he was getting from people on this website, in which time we became friends, he even phoned me on many occasions. He knew we wanted to do a two night, three day safari to the Masai Mara by air and went ahead and booked our flights without taking any money up front. He told me that we would organise the accommodation when we get there depending on where the migration was. We went to his office, chose Fig Tree(see my review) because it just ticked all our boxes, especially tents and he phoned his contact at the lodge there and then and got us just about the most perfect best tent at the lodge, absolutely beautiful and with the strings he pulled, we had a landrover type jeep as opposed to the white minivans with the best possible driver and tracker, Peter and Stephen. Anyway, Abdul made it happen.

Also he knew we were bringing many bits and pieces to give out to villagers, especially all the presecription glasses my son collected from neighburs (60 pairs) so Abdul took us to villages that would not normally see the tourists and we gave out all lots of the goodies including things we bought from the local supermarket and the elders of the village chose which glasses they wanted. Any glasses left over, Abdul, being the Chairman of the Youth Association was going to give the glasses to some of the older boys to distribute amongst the villagers. He is also a Saint, Watamu Beach Club burnt down when we were there and Abdul did his bit of fire fighting and found a couple and their dissabled son we went on the safari with, on the beach in the dark with their suitcases he took them to a private villa for the night, knowing that otherwise they would be cold and bedless for the night, before they were transferred down to Mombassa. Vanessa, if you ever read this, contact me.

Pomps, we met you and your wife at the restaurant in Malindi with Abdul. So glad you enjoyed your holiday and that you have written this topic, I am only too pleased to add to it. Abdul reall is a super man!!

I would just add for everybody, Abdul can be contacted on 00254733952383

I can only mirror what everyone has said about Abdul (The Mayor) and Tundra Tours

Apart from the fact that he supports Liverpool and has terrible taste in music I can't give enough praise to the bloke!

We learnt about Abdul from Trip Advisor before visiting Kenya for our Honeymoon in August 2007. From the first email we sent before going he couldn't do enough for us.

The best anyone can say about him and his servise is that he is completely honest and trustworthy to a fault. While you are visiting Malindi or Watamu you are treated as one of the family.

From day one he ensured we had the best time providing free excursions on top of the paid ones and even introducing us to his family.

We booked a safari to the David Livingstone Lodge in the Masi Mara and everything was excellent. After arriving we were a little surprised to find that we had been allocated a twin room. After about ten minutes there was a knock at the door and one of the hotel staff appologised for the room and ushered us to a better double... Abdul had been checking to make sure everything was OK and insisted we had a better room. You just can't beat that!

If you are going near the area give him a call or email, it's well worth the effort.

Asante sana Abdul!

Hello Spanner Thirsk,

Are you by any chance Jenny and Charlie whom Pomps talks about. If so we have all met, we were outside the Bank in Malindi when we were with Abdul, you had just returned from the Safari and again on the Mangrove Boat trip along with JJ and Vanesssa - remember the on-off boat situation at the end.

If you read some of my contribitions, you will see that Vanessa and JJ had a few problems after their Safari, their Hotel burnt down, but Abdul came to the rescue - such a lovely man.

Hello again if I am right and I hope all is going well for you in your married life and Hello anyway, if it is not you, but the very fact you know Abdul is lovely, spread the word. I had an email from him three days ago and all is well.

Happy hols.

Susan
