We are booked with two other couples to stay at Al Hamra Fort Hotel in late November 2007 and we hope someone will know the situation regarding golf - Should we take our clubs with us ? - is the new course due to open soon ? are there any concessions whilst staying at the AL Hamra for golf fees ?. What are the golf fees ?. Where is the nearest course if the new one isn't open by November ?. The reports relative to the AL Hamra Fort Hotel look good so hopefully our partners will keep amused and won't mind us boy's having a few games. Thanks in anticipation for any info. ! Royboy. This is nearby if the the al hamra fees are a bit steep, back nine floodlight at night havnt been but heard it ok will be in Rak in october so will be trying it then. Report as inappropriate | ||||||

I have played the Al Hamra Fort course, just come back from there, there are only nine holes built, holes 1-7 and 17-18, the course is in perfect condition and the driving range is perfect, clubs can be hired brand new Ping G5 or Callaways so you do not have to take your clubs just your shoes,club rental is 100 Dirham (£14) and to play 18 holes, well two times the nine holes built is 200 Dirham (£28) this includes buggy which has GPS and water which the marshall re-stocks every few holes. Take your clubs, by all means! There are 9 holes open as of today, and you can always get a tee time at the other local course - a challenging 18-holer. The Al Hamra course is very nice resort course. Enjoy your stay. The weather in November was great after the third week last year. Report as inappropriate | ||||||
