Hello,

Im going to Gocek on 4th July, cant wait now!!

Can anyone please advise me whether to take sterling tavellers cheques to change in Gocek?? (can you please recommend somewhere to change them and approx. what rate would I get) OR should I take sterling cash??

I was thinking of taking approx. £1200 (maybe £600 in sterling travellers cheques & £600 in YTL) Any tips advice would be greatly appreciated???

Also at the airport in Dalaman will we need to pay £10 each on arrival?? (does that include 12 year olds??)

Personally I gave up on traveller's cheques years ago, although there are 3 banks (soon to be 4) where you can change them. I always get money out using a cash machine, of which there are now about 7 here, including those of the banks.

Türkiye Is Bankasi, which is behind the Tansas supermarket and opposite the jandarma barracks often seems to give a slightly more favourable rate.

Yes, your 3 month visa will be 10 GBP each, even for 12-hours olds, let alone 12 years!
