Rent Car/Scooter for 1.5 Days in Cappadocia??

Unfortunately we were only able to squeeze in 1.5 days in Cappadocia. To help maximize our time and see as much as we can, we were thinking of renting a car or scooter. Is it easier/better (driving, parking, traffic, etc) to rent a car versus a scooter?

If we do rent a car, should we rent one from the airport (Kayseri) when we arrive? Or should we take airport transfer through our hotel and do the rental once we get into Goreme?

Thanks in advance for all your help!

I think we've decided to rent a car, but I still was hoping to hear from experts whether we should rent at the airport or if it was easy enough or more cost effective (?) to rent once we get into Goreme. Any advice or suggestions? We leave in 10 days for our trip, so I hope that someone can help us out.

You can maybe get a lower rate if you rent a car through your hotel in Göreme, but you should ask your hotel about it. As it's high season now, the prices tend to be a bit higher and on some days there are no cars available, as all car rentals in Göreme are very small, only a couple of cars.

In low season rental prices start at 90TL per day for the smallest car with manual transmission, 120 TL for one with automatic. Now they may be 10 TL higher. If you get a better deal from Kayseri, then go for it.
