Restaurant specials Side

Visiting Side for the first time :) previously stayed in Marmaris. In Marm there was a lot of restaurants with specials eg 3 courses £11/£12 the most being great quality/value. Is Side similar? Thanks

Any recommendations with or without specials greatly appreciated.

No - I haven't seen 3-course specials in Side like they have in Marmaris but you can get typical Turkish food at very reasonable prices at places like Umut Pide opposite Side Prenses Hotel - e.g. Lamuchan like a big floppy pizza that you eat with your hands is only 3 TL there - or Lentil Soup with lavash bread and dips and salad only 6 TL.

Kosem Restaurant in the Kemer District is also a good place for reasonably priced local food - and the Red Lion nearby too.

Side & Marmaris are very different, its a lot quieter and very expensive in comparison, most places will do a pitta bread starter with meze some will also give you fruit after the meal but not all, trips are double the price of Marmaris as are water sports, I'm not trying to put you off just pre warn you so you aren't as shocked as we were when you arrive! On the plus side it has fabulous history and you'll still get the bargains on the genuine fakes!

Meant to say best restaurant we found was cheers bar, steaks are amazing, I'm sure Angela will give you directions from where you are staying, coincidentally one of the waiters there used to work in Marmaris !
