Yes I returned from Hanay Suit Hotel on 16/05/05.

It is brand new so not many people have stayed there. I was the first person to stay in my room. Beautiful roomy and everything works!

It did open last Aug for a few weeks but not yet made its mark. Only about 8 rooms(out of 96) in use but many more guests expected this week on.

All staff very helpful and excellent pool etc.

Quite a walk to the beach but a free mini bus available. I was interested in the ruins of ancient Side and other parts of the region so not bothered about entertainment etc.

Manager says own website should go on line anyday now.

Ask if more info wanted.

We haven't stayed at the Hanay but we ate several times at the Cihan Restaurant (highly recommended!) which is directly across the road. Looking out from our table at the Hanay it looked clean, stylish and modern - not like the lesser establishment that we had been booked into. The Hanay's open air dining area beside the pool looked nice and always seemed to be busy - usually a good sign. We would be surprised if you were disappointed.

Just returned from Hanay Apartments, very impressed. The rooms were lovely and clean and very new. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Pool was lovely, again very clean and well kept as was the gardens very pretty surroundings. The weather was lovely so hot we couldn't do any sunbathing, we just floated around in the pool all day!!! We went to the beach a couple of times, lovely, plenty of sunbeds, the sea is very clear and is so warm it is like taking a bath!! The hill down to the beach is fine going down but coming back up is a killer, you will need gas and air by the time you get to the top!!

Would recommend the restaurant at the top of steps leading down the beach, the one at the bottom of the steps and also the one directly opposite the apartments.

Would recommend going into Side to visit the amphitheatre very interesting. Very nice restaurant along the front in Side called Soundwaves, (Pirate Ship) lovely food and very pleasant staff who made us all very welcome especially my grandson aged 9 years. Then a nice walk along the beach in the dark and a paddle in the sea, visit one of the bars on the beach for a cocktail makes for a lovely evening (apart for the walk up the 'killer hill' again.

Lovely holiday - would go back tomorrow if I could but I have got to go to work!!!!
