I really did try to book the Calista as your reply pm convinced me to go there.
I went through Thompsons and looked online for flight times but the best I could get was coming in to Antalya just before midnight and the return home was leaving Antalya at around 2am and in all honesty we really didn't want to be traveling home so late.
I then went to the Thomson travel agent and she couldn't get me any better times, she then tried to see about booking through Sovereign as they are part of the same group but may have some different flights but she was having difficulties. She phoned Sovereign instead and was told that the hotel was currently suspended because of contract negotiations? So that was the end of that.
I did see the Barut with Monarch but it wouldn't show as an available hotel when I put my dates in which was a pity as they had the best flight times of anyone. In hindsight I should have phoned them.
In the end I got fairly decent times to the Barut with Thomas cook, landing in Antalya around 9pm and leaving around 4pm.
It doesn't help that I could only go for 10/11 nights as I noticed the best flights seem to be for 1 or 2 weeks.
With regards to the price the Barut including a £400 room upgrade came in at around £170 less than the Calista. That's a fair bit more if I took the upgrade off, although that is for an extra night.
