Exchanging Cash

Never been to Tunisia before and was wondering where is best to exchange sterling? Is there an ATM at the airport - we are staying at Royal Kenz.

Thanks

Just got back from Tunisia this weekend. We changed our money in the Hotel, same rate as Banks etc. Only change the least amount needed as the rate changes on a regular basis. Plus make sure you do not have too much money left over at the end of the holiday, as the rate in the Airport is poor, & you could lose a lot in the exchange. The Royal Kenz looks a Nice Hotel, stayed a few Hotels further down the beach from there.

There are couple of bureaux de change next to baggage carousel at Monastir. So best to exchange initial sterling while waiting for baggage. Once in resort no problem finding ATM's.

Hi Shoney..!

Welcome to Tunisia ( Port El Kantaoui ).

Well you can change your sterling at your hotel,in any bank down town or at the marina in Port El kantaoui. You ca also change your sterling at the airport (Monastir or any other Tunisian international airport) A.T.M are also available in many places.

The exchange rate is roughly the same and might change according to foreign exhange regulated by the Tunisian central banck.

You better exchange according to your needs, so you will not have to exchange back the dinars left in to sterling at the airport before you leave the country.

Have a nice stay.

Ben
