Caribbean World Resort

Booked a holiday about 4weeks ago for Caribbean World Resort - Borj Cedria. All set to go until 2 days ago, when we were told that this hotel was now closed for the season. We were first offered Caribbean World Venus Beach as alternative, & then The Sun Beach. Has anyone been to either of these hotels? & if so, what like? Also, I've been told that there are 5 hotels in the Caribbean World "Resort." I know one is called Caribbean World Village. Does anyone know the name of the 5th hotel? & what the World Village & the 5th hotel is like?

No ive not and it really wouldnt be my choice if i was a first timer going to Tunisia.

I dont really take much notice of reviews but the reviews for here are a little off putting to say the least.

Im quite happy to stick with Port el Kantaoui or Sousse to be honest.

Just had a look at the reviews and some photos. Exposed wiring in rooms some disrepair etc. Shame as it has a lot of penitential. I would personally use the opportunity to change hotels.

I think you are very lucky to not stay at Borj Cedria, Billy, it really is in the middle of no where.

Cant really help with the alternatives but who did you book through. Is it possible to switch to one of the main stream hotels used by the regs on here. Then you probably get some honest suggestions.

As Julie mentioned, Caribbean World are not hotels mentioned very much on the forum.

First review is titled SHOCKING, would be if you touched that exposed wiring ;)

So many great hotels to choose from, i know it is a budget thing for some, but that wiring and other issues are of concern to me if i was going there. There were some nice photos and as i said it has potential, i like the colour scheme, but once again photos taken close up show a different picture. Pool area could be nice, but some photos show drain off area in disrepair. All little things that really should not be, makes you wonder whats going on behind the scene if they are not worried about these things that can be sorted with a little TLC

Toatally agree Dusty and WS.

I looked at reviews quite a while ago, and its still about the same now.

I agree about perhaps looking elsewhere, i know its a pain when you got a certain budget but i think i would rather spend that little bit more or wait until something better comes up in my price range rather than risk a miserable week or two away.
