Wedding In Cha Am

My wife and I are looking to do the traditional style wedding back in her home country and have been looking at hua hin.We want to find a nice place that will celebrate our wedding and then be able to hold the reception there.Looking at around 50 people or so and want to find somewhere that includes all food and drinks at a reasonable price. Can you guys recommend anywhere other than the antara with a price per person. We are coming over from Australia after having our first wedding here.

Might I suggest some of the private owned hotels, somewhere such as Baan Bayan in Hua Hin, Thai family owned, great service and lovely beachside location.

TA forum post on stay at Baan bayan:

Reviews: Note, TA list as B&B which it certainly is not, it is a hotel !

May I be bold to suggest that I think your wife would like something like Baan Bayan in preference to some of the large style or 'group' hotels.

Baan Bayan is though of as stylish, yet traditional, superb service.

If many of your guests will be Thai it would be the sort of place appreciated, but also fine for overseas visitors.

I would guess that pricewise would be better than the large hotels that cater to a certain extent far more to foreign guests. Location is convenient as although right on the beach you can walk to the shopping mall.

Ask your wife to negotiate a deal with them on drinks.

The main Hua Hin temple is in town center, about 5 mins by road.

For an evening dinner there are good options, choice could depend on the guests. If a mix of nationalities Supatra-by-the-Sea would be nice, if most are Thai then a slap-up seafood at Madame Green would go down well ( rustic charm on the beach, no wine list, but very famous and highly popular ).

Have a read, see what you think, there are obviously so many options, but in my humble opinion, I think it would suit very well.

Wora Bura is a larger option
