Please post new questions

Just a friendly request. Could you please post new questions as a new topic and avoid, where possible, tagging on to existing topics that are not directly relevant or resurrecting old ones, so as to ensure you receive best spread of replies? Otherwise they may go unnoticed and unanswered.

This, of course, after you have used the Search facility and looked at the wealth of information in the Top Question FAQs on the right and Things to Do on the left. ;-)

Cheers

Hi Arandora, Visiting Khao Lak in July and just wanted your thoughts on car hire and driving in the area against the cost of taxi's and sight seeing tours. I have read that the locals have a tendancy to drive very fast. Would you suggest for the sake of safety to avoid the car hire option.

Cheers

Steve

Steve. Khao Lak in July is very slow paced. You will have no problem with driving. There is one very long main road. Do bear in mind that it can be rainy at that time of the year. We where there ugust 2012 loved it and will be there August 2013. The town is quiet at this time of the year but tour quides still operate and Khao Lak is beautiful.

First suggestion. Please read this topic again. It is not meant for new questions here or more likely they will remain unanswered. Please start a new topic or search for an existing one and if you can't find the answers on that start a new topic. See tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g297914-i10908-k… for general comments about contacting Boss and reply #28 & 29 in particular for his other contact detalis.
