Seoul - Andong/Gyeongju- Pusan in 3 days- How & what to see

I will be in South Korea in early May for the first time. How's the weather like in early May? Will it be sunny weather or rainy days most of the time?

I have 6 days in Seoul (and 1 day will go to DMZ) ) and then planning to check out other cities if possible. (3 days in other cities)

Since I have only 3 full days and nights (Thursday to Saturday and will depart on Sunday) before flying to Fukuoka next, I really need to decide and plan for my route now as I have to confirm my flight very soon - what city to depart from in South Korea to Fukuoka - direct flight only.

We really enjoy historical places/Cultural stuffs/Folk villages/ Temples and different local cuisine. It comes to mind that maybe from Seoul to Andong / Gyeongji then last night in Busan will be an ideal route to go. Any suggestions? Is it doable or should I just not going this far and plan on exit from Seoul to Fukuoka?

Where should I go these 3 nights??? AND HOW???? Bus or train??? Which one is faster and is easier???

What will be the must see for me in such short time in these places?

Please HELP!!!

Idea 1:

Thu: Seoul to Andong - Visit Andong - stay at Andong

Fri: Andong to Gyeongj - Visit Gyeongi - stay at Gyeongji

Sat : To Busan - Stay at Busan

Sun: Depart

Idea 2:

Thu: Seoul to Gyeongji - Visit Gyeongji - Stay Gyeongji

Fri: Visit Gyeongji - Stay Gyeongji

Sat: To Busan - visit Busan - Stay at Busan

Sun: Depart

THANK you so much for your helps!!!!!

Hi..

IMO, Idea 2 seems better.

To save money, there is free shuttle bus from Seoul to Gyeongju depart from Donghwa Duty Free Shop.

Thank you for such useful information. It's good to know there's a free shuttle bus from Seoul to Gyeongju.

May I ask if you know any other ways to go there other than this free shuttle bus from Seoul?

How long does it take from Seoul to there?

I'm still trying to see what will be the fastest way to save time on the transportation.

Train then bus OR bus directly.

If taking the speed train, how should I go there?

Also, how should I go to Busan from Gyeongju?

Sorry for asking a lot....Thanks!

KTX now goes from Seoul directly to Singyeongju Station in 2 hours. I booked my ticket for my upcoming trip. It is about 45k Won Regular Class/60k Won for First Class. Singyeongju is outside the city, so you'll have to catch a bus or taxi to your hotel in downtown or the Bomun area.
