Kibbutz Lavi Taxi

How difficult is it to get a Taxi from Kibbutz Lavi to Tiberias. Leaving for Israel in three days with Gate 1. All help will be appreciated.

I am confident that Kibbutz Lavi will be able to call a taxi for you. They are not cruising by.

No problem at all and the ride is only 20 minutes to downtown Tiberias. Ask in the lobby at least 30 minutes before you want to leave and they will call on as rdglady mentioned.

Thanks for the responses. Our ultimate destination is Kibbutz Ginosar--any idea on the taxi cost or bus options from Tiberias? We plan on using our free day to explore and, hopefully, a boat ride. We have already contacted Sea of Galilee Worship Boats--any other suggestions? Thanks again.

There are buses every few minutes from Tiberias to Kibbutz Ginosar run by a variety of bus companies. Just get the next one out! See here:

Buy your tickets on the bus. Since tickets are not interchangeable between the bus companies, a ticket bought at the ticket window might not be valid for the next bus out.

If you are without luggage you can take a bus to Tiberias from the kibbutz. Just walk to the main highway and take any bus(from across the road). Taking a taxi to Tiberias or Ginosar will not have too much difference in fare and would be around 80-100 shekels for two passengers.

Even better, there are direct buses from Lavi (on the highway, not inside the kibbutz) to Ginossar!

Bus 841 from Lavi (it comes from Tel Aviv so it might be late, or early) at 7:56, 9:01, 10:06, 11:01, 12:01, 14:01 and 16:01.

Shuffaluff is absolutely correct, the direct buses to Kiryat Shmona all stop at the entrance to the kibbutz and travel on highway 90 north to that city.

Note that the walk to the highway is downhill and is a pleasant walk of less than 10 minutes.

Just returned from a wonderful trip to Israel. Our day at Galilee went great.

Eight of our group rented a van with a driver for the full day--the cost was $50 per person. Thanks again to all.
