Indonesia Tropic Holidays

Does anyone know anything about a company called Pl Indonesia Tropic Holidays based in Senggigi? I am trying to book a cruise with this company from Senggigi to Flores but even though they have a very professional looking webpage I can find no information about them anywhere else. I cannot find any reviews about their tours at all. Can anyone help please before I part with significant amounts of money?

Sometimes intuition is a very valuable asset, it has been so for you this time.

They have a staggering number of websites, and your are correct most of them do look quite polished and convincing.

Do a web search for < pt indonesia tropic holidays > and you will turn up some of them.

If you start clicking on some of the links on these many websites you will discover they all go in convoluted circles and take you to various other booking sites operated by the same person.

He has many openly associated with the Tropic Holidays name, and many more that are less overtly connected, much of the content on these websites is potentially misleading.

Which one did you get involved with?

Find a reputable operator and only book with them, or fly across to (LBJ) Flores and use a reputable tour provider there.

Tour providers for Flores island have been discussed fairly well on the Flores related TA forums.

These are the genuine sites for Taman Nasional Gunung Rinjani (Mount Rinjani National Park...

Here is the press release issues by the Indonesian department of forestries drawing attention to the issue of this site misrepresenting the Taman Nasional Gunung Rinjani www.dephut.go.id/index.php?q=id/node/4487

Thank you J_Hurcules for your answer. I am stunned and very pleased with the amount of work you have obviously put into addressing my query. I have noticed that elsewhere in this forum you have been of invaluable help for tourists to Nusa Tengarra like myself and I am sure that we all greatly appreciate your work.

I had found some of the web addresses that you have listed but nowhere near all of them. The web address I was involved with was lomboksailing.com

My suspicions were raised when the only reference I could find to this company elsewhere was when I googled their name and found comments discussing their attempts to change a web address in Wikitravel with one of their own that was very similar. I could not find any reviews, negative or positive, anywhere.

I will not be parting with my money to them but instead will be following your advice and flying straight to Flores and book a shorter trip out to Komodo and Rinca Islands from there. This will give us time to explore some of Flores before traveling back to Lombok overland via Sumbawa.

Again Thank you very much for your time and effort

Leinch, perhaps outline what it is that you wish to do in the region, then perhaps some of the Forum's contributors will be able to give you some appropriate information and guidance.

Thanks for your answer j_hercules

We are looking for a trip starting on Lombok, Komodo, Rinca and Flores, finishing on Labuanbajo. 5 days, 4 nights. We have been looking by Perama but Perama has not this kind of tour, they starts on Lombok and finish on Lombok.

Thanks again!!

Labuan Bajo is located at the western end of Flores, it is served by the Komodo Airport (Labuan Bajo) [LBJ].

Unfortunately the flights between Lombok (LOP) and Labuan Bajo have been suspended.

Flights are provided between Bali and Labuan Bajo

These airlines operating services from Bali (DPS) to Flores (LBJ):

✯ Merpati Airlines http://www.merpati.co.id/

✯ Sky Aviation http://www.sky-aviation.co.id/

✯ TransNusa http://www.transnusa.co.id/ [no online bookings available for this one]

✯ Wings Abadi Air (Lion Air) http://www2.lionair.co.id/

Access to RInca, Komodo island and the Komodo National Park is readily achieved from Labuan Bajo by a chartered boat ride.

Labuan Bajo has accommodation options.

Those Perama trips have had some issues.

There are some boat trips available from Lombok to Komodo/Flores, but sorting through the maze of scams and misrepresentations may take some effort.

If you can cut your way through it all there are some potentially successful outcomes, however like many things there is a price attached, pragmatically flying may provide a solution with less potential for disappointment.

If you scour through these forums you will find a couple of happy accounts.

It seems you are looking for a boat trip from Lombok to Komodo, and Rinca, presumably via Sumbawa that delivers you to Labuan Bajo as the journey endpoint.

Then you would fly to Bali and travel onwards or return home from there.

Here are the links for the Komodo, Rinca, Flores and Labuan Bajo discussion forums:

Thanks a lot! Maybe, the best option is arrive to Lombok by ferry and look for the trip there... Do you think Could be easy to look for travel agencies there?

Yes, I am looking for a boat trip from Lombok to Komodo, and Rinca via Sumbawa that deliver us to Labuan Bajo as the journey endpoint.

I will check your links for tours agencies!

Thanks again j_hurcules. Kind regards!!

Thanks a lot!
