Hi,
I am considering a weekend trip to KTM Resort in Batam. Has anyone gone there before? Any comments about the resort? Are the standard rooms big enough for a family of 2 Adults & 2 Child? Is it better/worst than the Harris Resort, Cabana ?

KTM is a very local resort with very limited facilities and standards,
The rooms are tiny and dark with a very local touch. The resort is lost away from everything.
Harris is an interantional 4 * Resort famous for its friendly staff, variety of facilities and just open the cabanas which are very trendy and minimalistic.For two adults I would suggest you to take the family cabana at Harris, just visited last weekend and been amazed by everything, even free DVD player and the latest DVDS are provided to the cabana guests free
Is KTM that bad even now? I am considering to stay there.

You can check out my site for more information on KTM Resort. The benefits at KTM resort is the Seaview, the spa and their lagoon. Their seafood is okay too.. but i would suggest you to go into their kitchen to pick the seafood. My first priority was Harris resort but it was fully booked thats y i choose KTM. NEVER EVER CHOOSE THEIR STANDARD ROOM. You will regret if you choose their standard room. If you have 4 people, you can choose their family room. Check out my blog for the pictures
Think I will choose Harris resort also. Also, I highly recommend Turi Beach Resort. You must take their chalet face to sea.
Just spend day trip to KTM, then decide. I would recommend Holiday Inn or Harris at west side of Batam, or Nongsa Point Marina or Turi Beach at east side, but it is really out of nowhere. For close to downtown choose Novotel, Planet Holiday.
