First time visit on the 2,3,4 of Feb. Need help on the hotel

Hey guys,

great place and helpful ppl here in the forum.

two of us are visiting batam for the first time for 3d2n on 2,3,4 of Feb.

we love to try all the stuff you guys have recommended, like the massage, food and shopping mall.

i would need your help on the recommendation on the choice of hotel.

prefer to have great location with beach.

is it that conveinient location will never be along beach?

my budget is S$100 per night for double.

last checked, harmoni seemed to be fully booked during that period.

at the same time, i would love to have a local guide to show us around on the 3rd and 4th.

looking forward to the replies.

Al,

Down here, beach/resort is normally at the end of the island. While the things you wanna do are in the city. So first you gotta decide your priority. You can do both but then you just have to spend about 45-60 mins each way between resort and city.

I would suggest Harris Batam Center for your hotel =)

Yeah Harris Batam Center is good in the sense that, if u wanna go to Nongsa beach area, it takes you 30minutes++ by taxi.. but if you wanna go shopping at Nagoya, it takes you 10-15minutes by taxi.

Cheers!
