Batam is bigger and modern than bintan..goods in batam are cheaper than singapore, authentic foods are seafood,you could dine in harbour bay ferry terminal,there's live music performance with thw view singapore lights across the sea. For club,you could go to no name club in harmoni hotel at nagoya batam.

If you wanna take sirine vacation,bintan could be the option, at north bintan there are some international resort, or more traditional way,you could go to penyengat island from tanjung pinang,bintan. The capital city of batam-bintan is tanjung pinang in bintan, yet there's no tourist attraction there

Thanks doddy for the short intro.

Rick: No question, definitely Batam then. Bintan is only good if you want to relax in resort and nothing else. Bintan uses USD too... so it's a lot more expensive than Batam. So yeah, Batam is a better choice for your preferences.
