About Sri Rezeki Seafood Kelong!

Okay, I have been recommending this seafood restaurant countless times because many Singaporeans like to experience good seafood in sort of kelong environment.

1. Is Sri Rezeki really that good?

- Taste is relative. I do not think this is #1 in Batam but its standard is definitely there. I brought many Singaporeans here before and I can tell you there were only 2 groups who thought this place is okay only. The rest like it.

2. Is it worth the travel?

- Nagoya: It takes 40-45 mins for Rp. 100,000 by cab

- Batam Center: It takes 25-30 mins for Rp. 70,000-100,000

- Nongsa: It takes < 10 mins for Rp. 50,000

- Waterfront: It takes 50-60mins for Rp. 100,000-150,000

Most travelers live in Nagoya so let's say you want to eat at Sri Rezeki. The round trip cost is already Rp. 200,000 ($30). With that, I can bring you to eat some awesome local road stalls that will satisfy you.

So think for yourself... see if it's worth it to make this trip.

Good luck!

Hi Chandrana,

Can I know if this restaurant is very far away from Tempat Senang - Sekupang (google map look far)?

How long to travel there from the resort? How about how much for Taxi fare?

Hope to receive your reply soonest.

Thank you :)

Not too far.. probably 30-40 mins. I think Rp 100,000 one way is a reasonable price. Hope you enjoy your trip =)

Hi Chandrana,

If Sri Rezeki is not the number 1 seafood restaurant in Batam, then which one is? I'm looking for a seafood restaurant with really nice ambience.

Also, I would like to go for a really good spa. Which spa is the most luxurious one in Batam?

Thanks a bunch :)

The reason I am saying it's not #1 is because I haven't tried all seafood in Batam yet but I suggest Rezeki because the standard is there and taxis know where it is.

If you want really nice ambience, you can go to Barelang bridges area... they have nicer views but taste-wise, it's hit or miss.

In Nagoya town are, my vote goes to Spa Secret for luxury.

In resort area, my vote goes to Holiday Inn Spa.

For what it's worth, I just found out Rezeki got a website.

Feel free to browse first if you are planning to go there. Cheers!

Hi Chandrana

I understand that there the price are not being listed in the menu. They are being quoted as and when you order?

Is there a market rate for crab for instance? We do not know how to speak malay and are afraid that we will get cheated. hahaha

Thanks

hmmm I am not sure of seafood market rate because it differs restaurant from restaurant. Most of the live seafood kelong I know don't have a listed price menu. Don't worry, Rezeki is very reasonable when it comes to pricing. I can't really give you an idea because whenever I go, I always get discount... hahahaa...

don't worry... just go there =) If you are worried then ask for the price before you confirm.
