Hi there, I'm going to Batam with friends for 3D2N. The last time I went, we stayed at Harris Resort and had to either match the resort shuttle bus timing or pay exhorbitant cab fares to go to town (Nagoya). This time, we want a hotel in Nagoya itself, so that we can save on the cab fare.
Any recommendations?

I've got a list of 18 hotels in Nagoya on my website. All of these are right in the centre of Nagoya with different price ranges. There are contact phone numbers for them and some email addresses. It's easy enough to get there and get your taxi driver to take you to a few and if you dont like the look of them then just drive down the road to the next one.
I've stayed at the Golden Virgo Hotel which is a fairly nice hotel, probably about a 15 minute walk down to all the night life. Some of the others like Horisona Hotel or Puri Garden Hotel are closer to the centre of town.

The Mercure is about rp320,000ish including breakfast, if booked on line.
It's a great deal imo.
