Hi we are staying in Batam at the end of september.

Can anyone recomend best currency for Visa and do we get these in Batam on arrival by ferry.

Hi,

The Indonesian Visa should be paid in US dollars. It will be US$10 if you are only going for the weekend.

When you get off the ferry In Batam and travel through customs there is a window off to the side next to customs where you pay your money and have the Visa put in your passport.

Hi,

A seven day visa costs US$10.00 and a 30 day visa costs US$25.00. Day 1 is the day you enter.

You are best off paying in USD to avoid a poor exchange rate but SGD are no problem.

There is both selling the visas before the immigration desks.
