I'm staying here for a 6 week Kaya Kalpa treatment and I am in my third week now.
I read so much negative about the retreat an this website , so I was a little upset when I came to here.
Much of the negative reply is not true , certainly not for 2008.
All the yoga students I met were very pleased with the course. Although it was hard work. I find the yoga teachers very qualified.
It is true some of the yoga classes for non yoga students are given by the students themselves because this is part of their course. The students themselves ofcourse get classes only by de yoga teachers.
The ayurveda doctors are qualified and so are the therapists. Of course don't expect miracles that is not possible.
I have seen by myself the therapists are arriving in the morning at 8:30 and are leaving at 16:30 - 17:00 . So they don't have to work from 5 am to 11 pm.
The personnel is very friendly and so are the owners ( Rekha and husband ).
The food is delicious. Of course if you come to here as is stated you are not allowed to eat meat , drink alcohol or smoke .
Every person who comes to this retreat can follow cooking classes , ayurveda classes etc for free on certain days and I highly recommend this because you can learn a lot about the food you eat etc .
Some of the visitors I met are coming back every year so they are pleased with the retreat as well.
So if you want to learn yoga and ayurveda or to follow a specific treatment in a beautiful environtment I certainly recommend this retreat !
