Hi. I am going to Udaipur in Oct 2008 on a volunteer project for 8 weeks. I am single 54yr old woman and am hoping to travel to a beach area after my stay. I do like to have some fun, but dont want crazy. Just a great place to chill.

Hi Kahuna777...the closest beach is Diu in Gujarat but really complicated to get to from Udaipur. Youll have to go by train to Ahmedabad change for train to Veraval and then bus to Una & Diu. If you can afford it, just fly via Bombay to Goa. Though Diu is still the unspoilt Goa.
