I wonder why people think of Uttarakhand and worry about Ladakh. They are completely different geographically and ecologically too. Ladakh for the most part is devoid of rain so leave your worries behind.
here's an itinerary:
Day 01: Sightseeing in Manali. Take rest for this day as will be reaching to Manali from delhi after 13-15 hours of Bus journey. N/S Manali.
Day 02: Early morning leave for Keylong (District Hq. of Lahaul) across Rohtang Pass. Stay for the night at Keylong. (Manali Keylong 115 Kms)
Day 03: Keylong-Leh. N/S at Leh.
Day 04: Leh: Visit Shey, Thiksay monastery, Hemis monastery and return back to Leh. N/s at Leh.
Day 05: Leh - Nubra Valley (127 Kms) across Khardungla the highest motorable road of the world - 18,380 ft. from m.s.l.) Double humped camel ride in the sand dune area. Overnight stay at Hunder or at Deskit village.
Day 06: Visit Deskit monastery and then return back to Leh. N/S at Leh
Day 07: Visit Pangong lake. N/S at Panglong Lake.
Day 08: Pangong lake - Tso moriri. N/S at Tso moriri.
Day 09: Tso-moriri to Leh. N/S at Leh.
