Is Goa burning ?

Is Goa burning ?

So many bad reports on the media about Goa.

Before deciding to go with my family I would like to know what are the facts about Goa media frenzy.

"Goa burning"?

Pretty strange name for the title of a thread, imho - unless you're quoting a news article headline.

As Cliftonian asks, maybe if you told us what you've read and the source, we can put your mind at rest. ;0)

I do know there have been some threads about bag-snatching on the Goa board.

Maybe you are reading some posts on the Goa forum (before they are being removed) by some person who seems to have a downer on Goa.

Of course, if you've read some really bad things and believe them, I'd suggest you choose an alternative destination anyway.

I've seen a couple of bad reports about India recently but not goa in particular as for crime well of course there's crime in goa its a tourist destination after all but look at the crime stats for Spain Greece etc its no worse than those places and I'd say probably better I've always felt very safe in goa . Wherever you go on holiday (uk as well) there's a chance you could become a victim of crime just use some common sense .

says it all for me really. Apologies if you're for real 'Amanda', but take a look at the other posts on this forum....Goa is still fine, don't think it's burning....
