I was booking SS and it was availible with olympic but changed my mind and went for Nazri but im gonna have a look around SS when im there.

Glad you managed to get it changed Taffy and well worth the extra money IMHO to put your mind at rest. Silver Sands gets pretty good reviews and I'd probably stay there if I ever go back to Candolim. February will be here before you know it and at least the shacks should be up by then lol.

To be honest, although it was quite a few years ago, the Alor Grand (it was Dom Francisco when we went) is the one hotel we wouldn't return to - unless the reviews start to improve.

Did Cosmos give you a reason why the Silver Sands wasn't available when you were booking?

Maybe it was a cancellation or they got extra room allocation from another tour operator?

I didnt get an explanation why we couldnt book so didnt question it, just told not available.

I am not quite sure about Silversands layout, passed it many times, never thought of going in and having a nose around Dont know if there are a few different named blocks there, but now if my memory serves me right, i dont recall the name of block ( Angara which we have now booked,) sure it was a different name first advertised when i tried to book, i may be wrong thinking this i am sure some body can come up with the answer who goes regular.

I know it will be a come down from the Pheonix Park, there is other advantages, no trek to the beach each day.

Hubby says its now further to walk to his favourite Coffee shop lol.

He wont be going every day.
