We fly out this Saturday for our first visit to Goa. Can anyone tell me if the beach shacks will be open yet?

Apparently a few are but the majority in Candolim will have their licenses by 15th November, but that doen't mean some will not open before.

Hi

if you are in the Candolim/Calangute/Baga stretch shacks very very limited.

Building of shacks is not going on at any speed to be ready for those arriving this wekend.

Slowed right down after the demolishion on Tuesday. Heard that it was BOSCOS but can not comfirm that.

Baga has some that are solid building type they are open

some are ready and up in the baga / calangute area... its diwali indian festival so lots of crowd...be prepared....

Laxman, Athens ( super thin crust wood fired oven pizza) always open at baga....

More shack demolitions yesterday.

Sorry Nottybutnice not so good for Diwali.in this area.

Although it is the Festival of The Lights many in the tourist area call it the festival of the Crazies as so many Indian visitors do crazy things like zooming around real madly in groups on hired bikes and drinking heavily then going in the sea.

Many deaths are experianced through things like this at this time with those that have come to enjoy themselves so come.enjoy yourselves but be dont be a Crazy,Be safe and return to your families.
