This is mainly a post for those who have travelled to Sharm recently and I guess also for Mamad, who I can see has been really helpful with other issues.
My problem is that we were considering travelling to Sharm in November with our young son, who will just be 1 then. However, since the attacks last month, my husband is a little reluctant to make a decision. We have been to Sharm on two previous occasions and had a really good time (I was particularly looking forward to going to Tam Tam's!) so we know what to expect of the resort.
I know that everywhere in the world is dangerous, my husband works in central London! I also realise that the best way to support the Egyptians who have been affected by this is to take our tourist dollars there and show the terrorists that they cannot win. But all of these things cannot outweigh the fact that we are planning to bring our baby and we wouldn't want to do anything that might put him in danger.
So that is the background. The question (yes, there is one, honestly!) is what security measures have been put in place to ensure such terrible people are not able to wreak havoc in the resort again? If there are any things that people noticed, or are aware of that might help to convince my husband that Sharm is still the safe resort we always believed it to be I would be most grateful.
