Marina waterfront walkway now = art

Has anyone been along the Marina waterfront walkway recently and seen the new art? Here is info on it, including a video http://artcnow.com/acwsw/

I went Sunday morning. With my Sister & our spouses and we all greatly enjoyed it. The weather was cussingly gorgeous, there were few bugs and it was mildly busy with pedestrians. I took plenty of photos [BTW, AFAIK, we can no longer just post photos at TA without a review, I'm not withholding photos, I cannot figure out how to post them without a review any longer]. Besides the art, we stopped at the piers jutting out into the marsh. We saw many egrets, and terns. A sandpiper, a black~skimmer and an osprey that was just gliding over us at a low speed, making for many great photos. So we got to take in some nature along with the art. If you're not staying at a Marina hotel [like us], there is a cutout along the waterside of that road, near the far corner of Harrahs surface lot. There is no signs indicating whether parking there is legal or not. I suspect this cutout is where the city parks their trucks for maintenance and trash pickup. We were parked there Sunday for about an hour, with no issues. And by the time we left, another car was parked behind us

Thanks rship! I love the kitties so I'm surprised I didn't see it lol.

Ok, I found it! I should go out the north side of the parking garage right?

There is sidewalk from Golden Nuggets jitney entrance down & around the garage. And then you need to cross the street to get to where the walkway begins/ends [this is why I was annoyed years ago there was no pedestrian walkway painted in the street]. If the weather is nice, I suggest this route >>I should go out the north side of the parking garage right<< ←I do not know that the garage has a pedestrian exit there. You may be walking on an auto entrance, which may not be safe. If anyone knows, please post

In answer to above comments and questions ~ Thanks, but I haven’t parked in Harrah’s outdoor lot in years yet assume the price should still be the same as the main indoor/outdoor self park garage. And recently, I have often seen many cars there looking down from Waterfront tower rooms, and I believe some are designated for employees?

I wish I had known about this before today -- I was at Borgata all weekend, and the weather would have been perfect to enjoy it. Thanks for posting. It will be on my agenda next visit!

Really appreciate the heads up on the art/walkway/nature. I always need a break from gaming and this sounds right up my alley. Will check it out this week.

What has two legs and ticks ~ well I HOPE it was just the 1 tick. I went to the art on the walkway & piers between the Marina casinos early Sunday morning. And they've added some mass market sculptures like a family of geese similar to this artdeco.me.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Bro… and a boy fishing off a pier similar to this lifesizestatue.com/images/lgbrz09kids01512.j… and more. Oh, and something made from flagstone & cement. Anyways, like 20 or so min later, we meet up with neighbors and they are driving us to Trump Plaza and I'm in the backseat... so, I feel free to.. ya know: scratch. Anyways, I scratch my left rear thigh and I feel something on my fingers... moving. I look at my hand and it's a fast moving tick. I'm rolling down the rear window and it's already moved from my index finger to my pinky in that time. [y'all know I WANTED to put fire to it, but I'm not about to introduce fire to my neighbors' leather automobile seats] So unfortunately, I had to toss it out the window. Hopefully a jitney tire is heavy enough to have done some deadly damage to this tick. And my point = please be sure to check for ticks after using the Marina waterfront walkway. The art is pretty new, but this is the 1st time I visited it in Summer. Perhaps I'm just yummy to ticks and none of y'all will get ticks from using the Marina waterfront walkway

So the moral of this story is stay away from your neighbor’s car ~ or that you’re a choice attraction for tick-like bugs? ;-)

WARNING: As to the parking. My Friend parkedin the "EMPLOYEE LOT" last summer. He had previously done it several time with no problem. One night he came out and ... Guess what... the car was gone. It was towed. Had to wait until next day to get it back. Wife had to come pick him up and then drive him back the next day. It Cost something like $250 to get it back with all the fees.

Just an FYI
