DH, Dad and I flew from Farmingdale, LI to AC on Saturday with the new flight program through Borgata. We paid $20 each. The plane was a 30 seat jet and the flight was approx. 27 minutes. They served a complimentary drink and snack, and before we knew it, we were landing. They had a bus waiting for us which took us to Borgata. When we arrived, they had a separate check in set up, and our rooms were already assigned and ready for us. They also gave us a “Fly Borgata” t-shirt, and a complimentary pass to the Amphora lounge.
All match play offers, earned bonus dollars, comp dollars and monthly bonus dollars were valid. Only bonus dollars specifically for 3/30 and 3/31 (the dates we were there) were void. Since none of us had date-specific slot dollars, it wasn’t an issue for us.
We had a standard room, which we were very happy with. DH played in a poker tourney Sat. night for 3-1/2 hrs, but didn’t come in the money. I am a VP player, but didn’t have any great hits. My dad is strictly a craps player and was happy to see that they had a lot of tables open and some of them were $10. Dad and I lost. DH actually won more than I lost (for a change), so we came home with a few hundred more than we went with.
The only time I don’t get hungry is when I’m gambling, so the only places we ate were the Amphora lounge and Bread & Butter – both were very good, as usual. DH got a burger to go at 1 a.m. from the Metropolitan and said it was delicious.
The casino was busy and we had a great time. We’re looking forward to going back again. A representative called yesterday to see how everything went, but I have laryngitis right now, so I didn’t call her back yet. They are looking to expand the Fly Borgata program and are being liberal with comping the trip right now. Also, they are hoping to start 2 night trips, which is what we would prefer. I would encourage anyone interested to give them a call. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.
We had a great time, and I think we are going to move most of our play to Borgata, whether we fly or not. I just like everything about the Borgata better than Harrah’s – the rooms, food choices, casino, cleanliness of everything, and especially the customer service.
