Hrrhs, Rvl, Trpcana or Brgta for Family trip - WILD in-laws?

I'm traveling with my father-in law age 60, Mother-in law age 58, husband age 34, Brother in-law age 31, and myself also age 31.

We typically have stayed at Harrahs when my husband and I have gone alone, I love the pool during the day... but am not into the scene at night (young guidettes). Most recently I took my mom and aunts to Tropicana and we had a grand-old time at the clubs there... I'm latina and dancing and partying at any age is welcomed and enjoyed!

My question is.... should I try Revel or Borgata this time around? My hubby and I live in Manhattan and we are very active, fashionable trendy people; so i really appreciate clean and new (Tropicana , in my opinion had ver old rooms... ideally i like a room like the waterfront towers at Harrahs)

My in-laws are ARE FUN, a bit crazy and like to be in the middle of it all, as if they were 25, so I can't say a quiet, subdude place will work for them... My father in law is a beer drinker and loves to try beer from each country he visits (they are coming from Israel)

Because, initially, we were planning to go to Mexico (that didn't pan out so well because of the crazy prices during spring break) they are also looking for what feels like a get-away - with a pool and such;

So to all my AC pros... should we stay with Harrah's or try any of the other hotels? What has a scene where my very diverse family and I will have a great time in?

I know that we will all have a great time anywhere... my family is super laid-back and down for anything... but I'm planning this 3 day trip and i want everyone to have a blast :)

we are traveling from 3/29 - 4/1

Revel is brand new and on the boardwalk making casino hopping very easy.

You will have nice rooms at either Borgata or Revel as Revel is less than a year old and Borgata refurbished their rooms within the past year.

Thank you!

Do you know if the pool at Revel has the same vibe as the one in Harrahs does by the day?

Is it free to get in? or is it heavily packed?

Thank you!

Didn't think of that, very good point... usually when we go to Harrahs....we are kinda stuck there.

Do you know about the pool at Revel? Is it busy?

Revel has a very nice indoor/outdoor pool. It doesn't seem to get very crowded the 3 or 4 times I have seen it.

The (main) Revel Pool is very, very nice (indoor/outdoor) with a large deck/sun area. When I was at their pool, last Summer on a HOT day, while the pool was busy, the pool area & sun deck, never seemed too crowded. Enjoy!

I loved Revel, but was not a fan of their indoor pool (decor was very sterol and it was teeming with kids when we were there). The outside area looked nice, but you likely won't be swimming outside in late March/April. As far as rooms even the basic room at Revel is very nice and has a great view. Haven't stayed at Borgata in several years so can't comment on the remodeling, but I'd assume they are also nice.

The major difference of course is the location. Your in-laws will have a lot more choices if you're on the boardwalk. I will also say the food at Revel was great and the beer selection at Village Whisky was very good (and the duck fat fries are out of this world!).

Sounds like a fun group and you'll probably have a great time wherever you go.

If you don't like the party crowd at Harrah's, I don't think you'll like the Revel either. I haven't spent much time at the Revel, but the one evening I was there, I thought the young club scene was worse than Harrah's.

No way.... that sounds scary!

I'm torn, but the in-laws have seen the "revel" and are vouching for that one.... now to try to find some sort of promo code...

They did have a code "morning" that gave you a $24 drink credit at O2 (the bar by the lobby) and a $50 food and beverage credit for breakfast.
