Buffets

We love the buffets in Las Vegas have never been to AC. Are their good buffets near the Boardwalk. Still havent decided on Hotel. But reckon we will stay near the Boardwalk. I also like staying in DownTown Vegas not the strip is the boardwalk like downtown Vegas?

Borgata is tops in AC. If you stay on the boardwalk, it's only a $2.25 per person jitney ride away to the Marina District.

Be advised Atlantic City is not in the same league as Vegas. There is NO comparison. The Boardwalk is NOT like Downtown Vegas. If you're going expecting a mini version of Vegas, save your money & head west my friend.

Actually both, the only negative, it's not on the boardwalk. If you want nice boardwalk property to stay at, go with Caesars.

Harrahs and Borgata used to battle it out for top buffet in AC.

Now Borgata is reigning supreme and Harrahs is falling fast. I wont even use the free buffet coupons their send me.

We've never eaten there but Borgata has the best buffet from what we hear. None of the boardwalk buffets compare to Vegas buffets. It's tough to compare AC to Vegas...the only real similarity is the access to 9 casinos on the boardwalk. The city streets outside of the casinos are not a place I would use to access casinos. It's nothing like Vegas.

while AC can't compare to vegas, I think the borgata buffet compares rather well to the top buffets in LV, such as wicked spoon at cosmo and bellagio buffet.

Probably the best buffet on the boardwalk is at Showboat. Like others have said Borgata's is the best buffet followed by Harrahs marina.

As others have said AC is not Vegas but you will still have a good time if you also enjoy sitting on the beach, walking or biking the boardwalk, like outlet shopping and eating at good restuarants. Many people that come to AC and post here are coming to gamble and maybe see a show and when you only consider those two things there is a great difference between Vegas and AC. You hear about crime outside the casino areas and that's true, there are areas you shouldn't walk, but those areas exist in Vegas also. You wouldn't want to walk from the Vegas strip to the downtown area or venture a couple of blocks outside the downtown casino district in Vegas. The big difference is the strip in Vegas is so large and there always seems to be new resorts being built so there's no need to venture out from the strip.

The problem in AC is the boardwalk is where most people visiting the city for the whole AC expierence stay but the nicer resorts are in the marina area which is on the outskirts of the city and with a high crime zone between them and the boardwalk. Revel is the only new resort on the boardwalk and the rooms and resort is very nice but they are struggling as they try to find what it takes to be a success.

Will second that Marina District is the class of A.C. Three wonderful Hotel/Casinos. Borgata-best rooms and buffett Harrahs-best pool by far Golden Nugget all newly renovated rooms with the best video poker bars in A.C.
