Beware with the cancellation police!!!
I didn't stay in this apartment but I wanted to tell about the owner strict cancellation policy. Due to a healthy condition of my friend (broken foot on trip's eve), I had to cancel the booking. I contact the owner (Tamara) 10 days before my arrival to let her know about the misfortune and let her know I had to give up of the trip.
For my surprise, the owner wanted me to pay 50% of the amount of the stay (have all the conversation saved in e-mails). I told her that other 2 others hotels (in Cartagena and Bogota) would not charge me anything and she came with a speech that it was expensive to keep an apartment and if I was conscious I should pay her. # WHAT???# At any moment I was told about the cancellation policy rules. We exchanges many e-mails and to be honest I must say the owner was very patient to clarify my doubts. Too bad I didn't ask about cancellations.
I had already sent U$98 as a first payment and she said nothing about returning at least part of my money. I've had a hard time cancelling many flights, hotels, insurance and also had to deal with that... really?
Only book this place if you are 150% sure nothing odd is going to happen in your life. Otherwise, better book with a hotel where you are allowed to cancel 48 hours prior to arrive.
By the way, it should be a review, but Trip Advisor didn't allow me to review the place because everything happened during the booking.
