My wife and I are English teachers in Zhenghou. We are planning a trip to Wenzhou to visit 3 of our former students who are now teaching English in Wenzhou.

We paln to be there from 9 -18 Jan. Are there any suggestions as to what to see in Wenzhou in particular but also in other cities or towns in Zhejiang? We have spent time alrady in hangzhou so we don't want to go there. We also like to visit the smaller and out of the way places. Places that perhaps don't get as many tourists. Our 'girls' will travel with us and be our translators so we don't have to worry about the language.

I also visited students in Wenzhou & found it pretty uninspiring. They did take me (by car) to a very attractive "scenic spot" with nine waterfalls. (Nan Xi Jiang Feng Jing is what I wrote in my diary).

I would recommend Ningbo & Putuoshan if you have the time.
