Looking for opinions (pros/cons, feasibility etc) on the 3 options we have for our itinerary, May holidays. Thanks in advance all.

Plan A: Wudangshan-Yichang-Wuhan

Wed 30/4: train Shanghai South -- Wudangshan *K282/K283 (2102--1723)

Thu 1/5: arrive Wudangshan 1723

Fri 2/5: climb up Wudangshan

Sat 3/5: climb down Wudangshan, train Wudangshan -- Yichang K626/K627 (1729--2244)

Sun 4/5: Yichang sightseeing, evening bus Yichang -- Wuhan

Mon 5/5: Wuhan sightseeing, train Wuchang -- Shanghai South *Z25/Z28 (2150--0712) OR *K121/K124 (2050--1151)

Tue 6/5: arrive Shanghai South 0712 OR 1151

Plan B: Wuhan-Wudangshan-Yichang-Wuhan

Hi Ellyse, I see you're climbing up Wu Dang Shan on Friday and down on Saturday - are there places to stay at the top?

I took me about 3 hours or so to climb to the top, but there's cable cars too, I didn't realise there was accommodation at the top.

Was just wondering about that, can't really input on the rest. Sounds like fun :)

There's a place to stay at the Golden Summit, but we didn't stay there. We stayed at the cluster of hotels at Nanyan, still a couple of hours of climbing to go.

Due to weather conditions, the cable car wasn't in operation when we visited.
